Our Shop
There will always be a very warm welcome for you at The Book Nook Stewarton. The shop is an inviting and relaxing place to browse books, chat about books, and buy books for everyone. There is an excellent range of children's books for all ages, Teen YA and adult fiction and non-fiction, with a good selection of new and notable titles. We're open 7 days a week with late opening on a Thursday.Events
Throughout the year we run an extensive programme of events with wonderful authors. There's something for everyone as we ensure a good range of authors and different genres are represented in our events calendar. All events are free to attend but places are limited so booking is required!

We have a book club for you - no matter your age! We open the shop early on Tuesday to host Tales for Tinies, a story time and play session for babies & toddlers. Our Junior Book Nook Club encourages & rewards primary school aged children for reading and reviewing books. Meeting monthly, the BookNookers Book Club is a friendly, sociable book club where we chat casually about the month’s books.About Us
Launched in 2020, we are an award-winning book shop located on the High Street in Stewarton, Ayrshire. Sarah, the founder & owner, has been passionate about books all her life and opening The Book Nook is a long held dream come true. We have a wonderful space for you to buy your favourite book as well as providing us a relaxing environment to host community events, author events, children’s workshops and book clubs. We are proud to have been nominated for and won several awards including being crowned Scotland’s Independent Bookshop of the Year in 2024 & 2025.
