The Book Nook Book Bank

We were regularly being asked by customers if we were able accept donations of second hand books that we could resell. As all of our stock is brand new, this is not something we were able to do. However, this encouraged us to look for alternative ways in which second hand books could be used.

In August 2023, we launched the The Book Nook Book Bank. This initiative allows us to redistribute books to recipients in the community who will benefit most from them. Since launching, we have established a number of redistribution routes for nearly new books including with East Ayrshire Health & Social Care Partnership, East Ayrshire Vibrant Communities, Centre Stage Kilmarnock & more.

Please note, we only accept books that are in pristine condition and, due to limited storage in the shop, we may have to take a phased approach to accepting donations.
